Why I started Destination Mah Jongg™
Great ideas are born from passion—and for me, that passion has always been rooted in family, especially my son. As he grew older and more independent, I found myself searching for a renewed sense of purpose.
During a major life transition—the end of my 32-year marriage after three decades as a homemaker—Mah Jongg became my anchor. Around the table, I found laughter, support, and a sense of belonging when I needed it most.
As tournaments began to grow in popularity, I saw an opportunity to create something bigger—something meaningful. I envisioned events that would bring together competition, travel, and connection in a way that celebrated both the game and the people who love it. That vision became Destination Mah Jongg.
Destination Mah Jongg is more than an event—it's a community. It's about connection, shared experiences, and the lasting friendships built around the table.
